Singer/Songwriter looking to collab and perform
The Nomad, former lead singer of the cover band "Vallejo's Urban Bushmen", removes the covers with his release of "Three Faces Of Man". The Bushmen were a popular cover band founded by Kenny Wilson, father of grammy nominee H.E.R.
Nomad, simply Damon in reverse, was discovered as a songwriter by Rodney Skipworth of
Skipworth & Turner, whose single "Thinking About Your love" climbed to number one on the billboard charts in the eighties. Skip invited Nomad into his Syracuse NY studio where the results were "Something You Told Me, Try Love Again, and Pray for Eyes That See". Nomad's collaboration with original Confunkshun keyboardist, Danny Thomas, produced "Rachel"s Weeping for Her Children", which is the theme song for a local bay area cable tv and radio show. The global appeal of Nomad as a singer/songwriter was demonstrated when continents away Nicole Marchman heard "Rachel's Weeping" and used it to highlight her video "Helping Children Find Their Voice In Institutional Care". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOlRS115etA&feature=youtu.be.
Nomad describes "Three Faces Of Man" as music for the masses. Elements of RnB, hip hop, gospel, and alternative spring forth from the same source. The animal, human, and spritual natures, symbolized by the cover art, lyrics, and voice of the singer/songwriter. Bay Area composer, and sound engineer, Peter Deleon produced the majority of the tracks on TFM. Local musicians, guitarist Kenny Wilson, father of grammy nominee H.E.R, bassist Alton Mcgriff, drummer Mike Mccoy, Carl Robinson SR., Carl Robinson Jr. (RIP), vocalist Collette Taylor, "King of the Hammond" Delbert Bump all make appearances on the CD. Although he's not a reggae performer, Nomad has toured as a background vocalist on tour with major Reggae Acts such as: King David, Sister Carol, and the Mighty Diamonds. Nomad wowed the crowds with a reggae version of Michael Jackson's Human Nature. Damon the Nomad is no stranger to the stage, as an actor he has received several nominations and awards for his performances. Born in Nashville Tn, he first started singing gospel music at church with his cousins as a young child, however, it wasnt until he begin singing at his fraternities talent shows that the voice heard and loved by many today begin to be noticed. Damon lists M. Jackson, Prince, Terrance Trent D'arby, Tracy Chapman, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye as some of the many artist who've inspired him.
